[NEWS] KBS ´On a Roll´ Producer denies accusations regarding Yoochun and external pressures

Recently, the cast of new MBC drama Ripley failed to appear on the same network’s talk show Come to Play. The incident led many to accuse MBC of buckling under external pressure to keep JYJ off of variety shows; in this case, it would have been MBC’s own drama the cast would be promoting!
And it appears that group member Yoochun‘s scheduled appearance on KBS 2TV‘s On A Roll was also canceled.  At this, a broadcasting industry official said outright:
“It seems that someone is trying to hinder JYJ’s activities in the entertainment industry.”
But the producer of On A RollYoon Hyung-Joon, disagrees and denies having been pressured by any external source. On the 4th of May he stated:
“It’s ridiculous that people believe Park Yoochun was unable to appear as Kim Kap Soo’s surprise guest because of external pressures. The rumors are completely and utterly false.“
And continued:
“If there was any external pressure, we wouldn’t even have made the call to ask him to appear on the show. Producers have authority over recruiting guests. It’s a bit extreme to conclude that we were pressured [into canceling on Park].”
A representative of Come to Play also expressed their opinion on the matter, saying:
“It’s true that the Ripley team wanted to appear on the show, but we simply chose a different episode plan, that’s all.”
Some people are speculating that “because the general consensus of the public is being steered towards blaming JYJ’s inability to appear on TV shows on external pressure, there are people who are spreading baseless rumors on the existence of such issues and making it worse.”
